Go (also called Weiqi, Igo or Baduk) is a fascinating board game.
Two players are placing black and white stones on a board (typical size 19x19). The aim of the game is to have the bigger areas on the board as the opponent. It is possible to capture stones by surrounding them without any holes. The rules are very simple, but Go is at least as complex as Chess.
For a software developer like me with a passion for artificial intelligence writing a Go playing program is a very interesting challenge. Thirteen years ago I started with this life-time project. It is running under all 32bit Windows versions and the latest version can be downloaded here (more than 4000 downloads 2007):
Peter's Go Version 4.1 of January 20, 2008 : PetersGo41_english.zip (261 kB)
Peter's Go Version 4.0 of October 20, 2007 : PetersGo4_english.zip (258 kB)

I am interested in getting feedback about my program. I want to make my program strong and easy to use. So if you find some points
to work on, let me know. Please save the game you played and send it to peter(a)raffelsberger, net.
